Summary: This is a brief report on recent work of the author (some joint with Greg Anderson) and his student on multizeta values for function fields. This includes definitions, proofs and conjectures on the relations, period interpretation in terms of mixed Carlitz-Tate \(t\)-motives and related motivic aspects. We also verify \textit{L. Taelman}'s recent conjectures in special cases [Math. Ann. 348, No. 4, 899--907 (2010; Zbl 1217.11062)]. For the entire collection see [Zbl 1441.14003].
