    The paper presents a control algorithm aimed at sped control of a linear induction motor. The approach uses an adaptive method in the backstepping controller to deal with uncertainty of the parameters. A fuzzy model is developed to cope with nonlinearity of the system and uncertainty of the parameters. The control objective is to make the linear induction motor follow the required velocity and make signals in the closed loop system bounded. The design of the projection-based adaptive command filtered fuzzy backstepping controller is presented along with its analysis including stability investigations. The paper includes a concise simulation experiment.
