    Let \(n\geq 3\), \(p=(n+2)/(n-2)\), \(\Omega \subset \mathbb{R}^n\) be a bounded smooth domain and \(0 < K(x) \in C^3(\bar{\Omega})\). The following elliptic Dirichlet problem is considered in this paper: \[ -\Delta u(x) = K(x)|u(x)|^{p-1-\varepsilon}u(x), \ x \in \Omega, \ u(x)|_{\partial \Omega}=0.\tag{\(P_\varepsilon\)} \] By constructive methods, some solutions concentrating at the boundary \(\partial \Omega\) are obtained in [\textit{J. Dávila} et al., J. Differ. Equations 263, No. 11, 7221--7249 (2017; Zbl 1380.35089)] for \(3\leq n\leq 6\). In this paper, the authors extend this result to the general case \(n \geq 7\) by introducing different approximate solution and improving the estimate of the remainder function.
