    In this work the author considers a two-components reaction-diffusion system of KPP type with heat losses in a straight cylinder. Some heterogeneity in the cross-section is allowed. The large time behaviour of solutions with typically compactly supported initial data is investigated. Provided some threshold condition is satisfied to avoid extinction, a spreading speed is derived which is also the minimal travelling wave speed, and a precise location of the front is obtained up to a logarithmic drift. Decay estimates for the solutions ahead of the front are also established.
