Under consideration is the equation \[ \operatorname{div}(\Phi(|\nabla u|^{2})\nabla u)=f(u)+g(x,\nabla u, Su),\ \ x\in {\mathbb R}^{n}. \tag{1} \] The operator on the left-hand side is assumed to be elliptic and \(S\) is some operator which can be nonlinear and can contain higher order derivatives of the solution. Under some structural assumption, it is proven that a sufficiently smooth solution to the equation (1) meets a pointwise estimate connecting a solution \(u\) and \(|\nabla u|\) which can be used for obtaining pointwise estimates of \(|\nabla u|\).
