Let \(W^{k,p}_{(0,1)}\) denote the \(L^p\)-Sobolev space on \((0,1)\)-forms of order \(k\). \textit{L. Chen} and \textit{J. D. McNeal} [Adv. Math. 360, Article ID 106930, 42 p. (2020; Zbl 1439.32097)] showed that \(\overline{\partial}\) has a solution operator from \(W^{n-1,p}_{(0,1)}(D_1\times \cdots \times D_n)\) to \(L^{p}(D_1\times \cdots D_n)\) where \(p>1\) and each \(D_j\) is a \(C^1\)-smooth bounded domain in \(\mathbb{C}\). Let \(K=\overline{\partial}^*N\) denote the canonical solution operator on \((0,1)\)-forms. Here \(\overline{\partial}^*\) is the Hilbert space adjoint of \(\overline{\partial}:L^2\to L^2_{(0,1)}\) and \(N\) is the \(\overline{\partial}\)-Neumann operator. Then \(\overline{\partial}Kf=f\) for \(\overline{\partial}f=0\) and \(Kf\) is orthogonal to the Bergman space. We note that \(K\) provides the solution with the minimal \(L^2\) norm and \(K=T-BT\) where \(B\) is the Bergman projection and \(T\) is any solution operator for \(\overline{\partial}\). The authors generalize Chen and McNeal's result mentioned above to higher Sobolev spaces on the polydisc \(\Delta^n\) as follows. Theorem. Let \(1<p<\infty\), \(k\geq n-1\), and \(f\in W^{k,p}_{(0,1)}(\Delta^n)\) with \(\overline{\partial}f=0\). Then \(\overline{\partial}u=f\) where \(u=Kf\). Furthermore, there exists \(C>0\) such that \(\|Kf\|_{W^{k+2-n,p}}\leq C\|f\|_{W^{k,p}}\). As a corollary for \(n=p=2\) they obtain the estimate \(\|Kf\|_{W^{k,2}}\leq C\|f\|_{W^{k,2}}\) on the bidisc \(\Delta^2\).
