Let \(\mathcal{P}\) be the Schwartz algebra, i.e., the set of all entire functions \(\varphi\) such that there exists \(C_\varphi>0\): \(|\varphi(z)|\leq C_\varphi(1 + |z|)^{C_\varphi}\exp(C_\varphi|\Im z|)\), for all \(z\in\mathbb{C}\). Let \(l:[0;+\infty)\rightarrow\mathbb{R}\) be a given unbounded function. In this paper, it is studied under which conditions the perturbed sequence \(\{\lambda_k=k + l(|k|)\}\), \(k =\pm1,\pm2,\dots\), forms the zero set of a function that is invertible in the sense of Ehrenpreis. In particular, if the function \(l\) satisfies the estimate \(|l(t)-l(s)|\leq C_l|\ln^2t-\ln^2s|\), \(C_l > 0\), for sufficiently large \(t\) and \(s\), then the function \(l\) defined by \[ \varphi(z)=\prod\limits_{k=-\infty}^{+\infty}\left(1-\frac z{\lambda_k}\right) \] is an invertible element of the Schwartz algebra \(\mathcal{P}\) in the sense of Ehrenpreis. If \(l\) is a positive concave function such that \(l(0)=0\) and \(0<\limsup_{t\to+\infty}(\ln |l(t)|/(\ln t))<1/2\), then the function \(\varphi\) is in the algebra \(\mathcal{P}\) and \(\varphi\) is invertible in the sense of Ehrenpreis if and only if \(l'(t)t/\ln t=O(1)\) for \(t\to+\infty\). Slowly decreasing functions that are not very slowly decreasing are also considered.
