Let \(F \colon (\mathbb{K}^m, 0) \to (\mathbb{K}^p, 0)\) be an analytic map germ, where \(m \ge p \ge 2\) and \(\mathbb{K} = \mathbb{R}\) or \(\mathbb{C}.\) In the paper under review the authors study the following two phenomena which do not occur when \(p = 1\): (i) the image of \(F\) may be not well-defined as a set germ; and (ii) the germ \(F\) may not define a local fibration near the origin.
