The complete elliptic integral of the first kind is defined as \[\mathcal{K}(r)=\int_{0}^{\pi / 2} \frac{1}{\sqrt{1-r^{2} \sin ^{2} t}} d t.\] It is shown in the paper that \[\frac{2}{\pi} \mathcal{K}(r)>\left[1-\lambda+\lambda\left(\frac{\operatorname{arth} r}{r}\right)^{q}\right]^{1 / q}\] holds for \(r\in(0,1)\), and the best constants are \[\lambda=\frac34,\quad\mbox{and}\quad q=\frac1{10}.\] Here \(\operatorname{arth} r\) the inverse hyperbolic tangent function.
