An algebra that is a topological vector space with separately continuous multiplication is called a topological algebra. A complete topological algebra \(A\) with a topology which is defined by a countable family of increasing submultiplicative seminorms \(\{p_\ell\}\) is a Fréchet algebra. For more details see [\textit{H. Goldmann}, Uniform Fréchet algebras. Amsterdam etc.: North-Holland (1990; Zbl 0718.46017)] and also [\textit{A. Yu. Pirkovskii}, Homology Homotopy Appl. 11, No. 1, 81--114 (2009; Zbl 1180.46039)]. An approximate identity \((e_\alpha)\) in a Fréchet algebra \((A,p_\ell)\) is called uniformly bounded if \(\sup_{\ell\in\mathbb{N}}\sup_\alpha p_\ell(e_\alpha)<\infty\). Let \((A, p_\ell)\) be a Fréchet algebra and \(X\) be a Fréchet space and an \(A\)-bimodule with separately continuous module maps. Then \(X\) is called a Fréchet \(A\)-bimodule. Also, if \(X\) is a Banach space, then it is called a Banach \(A\)-bimodule. A Banach \(A\)-bimodule \(X\) is called neo-unital if \(X = AXA\). A derivation from a Fréchet algebra \((A,p_\ell)\) to a Banach \(A\)-bimodule \(X\) is a continuous linear mapping \(D: A\to X\) such that \[D(ab) = aD(b) + D(a)b \quad (a,b\in A).\] A derivation \(\delta_x: A\to X\), for \(x\in X\), which is defined by \[\delta_x(a)= ax-xa \quad (a\in A)\] is called an inner derivation. The concept of amenability of Fréchet algebras was introduced in [\textit{A. Ya. Helemskii}, in: Handbook of algebra. Volume 2. Amsterdam: North-Holland. 151--274 (2000; Zbl 0968.46061)] and also studied in [\textit{A. Yu. Pirkovskii}, Homology Homotopy Appl. 11, No. 1, 81--114 (2009; Zbl 1180.46039)]. In this paper, the concept of essential amenability for the Fréchet algebras is introduced similar to its definition for Banach algebras given in [\textit{F. Ghahramani} and \textit{R. J. Loy}, J. Funct. Anal. 208, No. 1, 229--260 (2004; Zbl 1045.46029)]. A Fréchet algebra \((A,p_\ell)\) is called (essentially) amenable if for each (neo-unital) Banach \(A\)-bimodule $X$, every continuous derivation from \(A\) to the dual Banach \(A\)-module \(X^*\) is inner. Also, the concept of Segal-algebras can be extended to Segal-Fréchet algebras. For more details see [\textit{F.~Abtahi} et al., Period. Math. Hung. 71, No. 2, 146--154 (2015; Zbl 1363.46029)]. In this paper, some results about the essential amenability of Banach algebras are extended to Fréchet algebras. Also some related results for the Segal-Fréchet algebras are studied. In particular, it is shown that every symmetric Segal-Fréchet algebra in an amenable Fréchet algebra with a uniformly bounded approximate identity is essentially amenable. This extends a result in [\textit{H. Samea}, Bull. Aust. Math. Soc. 79, No.~2, 319--325 (2009; Zbl 1186.43004)].
