Let \(M\) be a quasitoric manifold of dimension \(2n\) and let \(\tau\) be the natural conjugation involution on \(M\), whose fixed point set \(M^\tau\) is known to be a small cover, associated to \(M\). The main result of the paper shows that in the unoriented bordism ring \(\mathcal N_*\), \(M\) represents zero in \(\mathcal N_{2n}\) if and only if \(M^\tau\) represents zero in \(\mathcal N_n\). As a consequence of this theorem, the author characterizes the omnioriented quasitoric manifolds of dimension 12, whose associated small cover is orientable, as being bordant to zero in \(\mathcal N_{12}\).
