One of the greatest challenges in the theory of modular tensor categories is the construction of novel examples. The primary litmus test for the existence of a modular tensor category is the existence of coherent modular data, arising from the namesake modular group representation. Although this is not a complete invariant of modular tensor categories, and does not prove such a category exists, the construction of novel modular data is a necessary step toward the discovery of examples. Here the authors construct several infinite families of modular data generalizing computations and conjectures of \textit{D. E. Evans} and \textit{T. Gannon} [Adv. Math. 255, 586--640 (2014; Zbl 1304.18017)]. These infinite families are variations on a theme of grafting two involutive metric groups together in various ways guided by the confirmed existence of examples in finitely many cases. The authors also verify their modular data passes standard tests of consistency such as the Verlinde formula. It is also conjectured (Conjecture 4.5) that the Drinfeld doubles of certain near-group fusion categories realize one infinite set of hypothetical modular data.
