A metric characteristic of minimal surfaces on arbitrary Carnot groups (Q2217291)

In this note, the author states a collection of results about minimal surfaces for \(C^1_H\) mappings between Carnot groups. Minimal surfaces are defined in terms of an area functional (see Definition 7). The results stated in the note under review provide necessary conditions for the minimization of this functional involving the matrix of the derivative and the commutators of the groups.
