Division algebras that generalize Dickson semifields (Q2220272)

Dickson constructed a family of commutative semifields by suitably defining a multiplication on the direct sum of a finite field with itself. The author generalizes Dickson's construction by replacing the field with a central simple algebra \(D\) over a field \(F\). Whenever the norm group of \(D\) contains an element which is not a square, the construction produces at least one semifield. The author also investigates the algebraic structure as well as isomorphisms and automorphisms of the algebras he constructed.
