Let \(k\) be a field, \(R=k[X_{1},...,X_{m}]\) a polynomial ring equipped with the standard grading, and \(\mathfrak{m}\) the irrelevant maximal ideal of \(R\). Given a \(\mathbb{Z}\)-graded \(R\)-module \(M\), it is folklore that if \(H_{\mathfrak{m}}^{j}(M)\neq 0\), then \(\mathrm{depth}_{R}(M) \leq j \leq \dim_{R}(M)\). Moreover, the local cohomology modules \(H_{\mathfrak{m}}^{j}(M)\) are \(\mathbb{Z}\)-graded, say \[H_{\mathfrak{m}}^{j}(M) = \bigoplus_{i \in \mathbb{Z}} H_{\mathfrak{m}}^{j}(M)_{i}\] for every \(j \geq 0\). The local cohomology table of \(M\) is then given by the infinite matrix \[[H_{\mathfrak{m}}^{\bullet}(M)]=\left(\dim_{k}\left(H_{\mathfrak{m}}^{j}(M)_{i}\right)\right) \in M_{\mathbb{Z}\times(\dim_{R}(M)+1)}\left(\mathbb{Z}_{\geq 0}\right).\] The authors of this paper describe the extremal rays and the facets of the cone of local cohomology tables of \(M\) when \(\dim_{R}(M)\leq 2\). Moreover, they show that any point inside the cone can be written as a finite linear combination, with positive rational coefficients, of points belonging to the extremal rays of the cone. They also provide algorithms to obtain decompositions in terms of extremal points and facets.
