For any \(\alpha>1\) consider \(\mathcal{L}(\alpha)=\left\{\limsup_{n\to\infty} ||\xi\alpha^n||:\xi\in\mathbb{R}\right\}\). First, it is proved that \(\mathcal{L}(\alpha)\) is closed if \(\alpha\) is a Pisot number. Further, \(\mathcal{L}(\alpha)\) is studied in two simplest cases: i) \(\alpha\) is an integer; ii) \(\alpha\) is a quadratic Pisot unit. In each case upper bounds for Hausdorff dimension are established and discrete parts of spectra are described. Particularly, the minimum limit point and all isolated points beneath this point are found. In quadratic unit case it is shown that \(\mathcal{L}(\alpha)\) contains a proper interval. Also it is not so for integer \(\alpha\).
