The authors generalize the Virelizier-Hennings type 3-manifold invariants of \textit{N. P. Ha} [Quantum Topol. 11, No. 4, 609--655 (2020; Zbl 1478.57021)], originally defined for the restricted super quantum group \(\mathfrak{sl}(2|1)\), to restricted quantum groups associated to a simple finite dimensional complex Lie algebra at odd roots of unity. They prescribe five axioms an unrolled Hopf algebra must satisfy in order to define their invariant, and they verify these axioms for the above quantum groups. The construction in this paper requires embedding the quantum group into a topological ribbon Hopf algebra, which has the topology of a complete nuclear space. Given such a Hopf algebra, they define an invariant of triples \((M, \Gamma, \omega)\) where \(M\) is a 3-manifold, \(\Gamma\) is a closed bichrome graph inside \(M\), and \(\omega \in H^1 (M \setminus \Gamma, G)\) which satisfy some compatibility condition. Elements of the topological Hopf algebra are used to color mixed coupons of the bichrome graph \(\Gamma\). The invariant is defined in terms of the quantum group itself using modified integrals, not its category of modules. Comparisons are made to previous work by the authors. Their construction recovers the modified Hennings invariant of De Renzi, Patureau-Mirand, Geer [\textit{M. De Renzi} et al., Commun. Math. Phys. 362, No. 3, 855--907 (2018; Zbl 1402.57024)] when \(\omega=0\). When \(\Gamma\) is monochrome, the present invariant agrees with the GPT invariant on the triple \((M,\Gamma,\omega)\).
