In this paper, the author introduces a notion of 1-fold homotopy between crossed module morphisms of algebroids over a commutative ring. The first main result, Theorem 4.7, makes a groupoid structure explicit, where the 0-cells are crossed module morphisms and 1-cells are homotopies between crossed module morphisms. In a second part, the author introduces a notion of 2-fold homotopy between 1-fold ones. The second main result, Theorem 4.20, extends the groupoid structure into a 2-groupoid where 2-cells are 2-fold homotopies.
