The authors consider continuous wavelet transforms that might arise from an irreducible representation of a homogeneous space. The examples presented are largely groups rather than nontrivial homogeneous spaces. Under appropriate hypotheses, they establish that any nonzero function in the image of a continuous wavelet transform has infinite measure. They also consider admissible pairs and investigate an approximation property.
