Let \(X\) be a projective variety. A surjective endomorphism \(f:X\rightarrow X\) is \textit{int-amplified} if there exists an ample Cartier divisor \(H\) on \(X\) such that \(f^*H-H\) is ample. This notion generalises the non-invertible polarised endomorphisms. It is a natural and interesting question to study and classifity those projective varieties with mild singularities and admitting an int-amplified endomorphism. Let \(X\) be a normal \(\mathbb{Q}\)-factorial klt projective variety. If \(X\) admits an int-amplified surjective morphism, it is shown in [\textit{S. Meng} and \textit{D.-Q. Zhang}, Adv. Math. 325, 243--273 (2018; Zbl 1387.14057); \textit{S. Meng}, Math. Z. 294, No. 3--4, 1727--1747 (2020; Zbl 1439.14057)] that there exists a quasi-étale finite cover \(\mu:\widetilde{X}\rightarrow X\) such that the Albanese morphism \(\text{alb}_{\widetilde{X}}\) is a fibre space whose general fibre is rationally connected. Thus, as a building block, it is natural to study in details the general fibres of \(\text{alb}_{\widetilde{X}}\) and it is asked if the fibre is actually toric. In this papaer under review, the author made a contribution in the direction of the question above to show that \(\widetilde{X}\) is of Fano type over its image \(A\). The result is obtained by running an equivariant MMP with respect to the int-amplified endomorphism \(f\) or its iteration if necessary. In particular, as a consequence, the author shows that after iterating, every endomorphism \(\phi\) on \(X\) can be lifted to an endomorphism \(\widetilde{\phi}\) on \(\widetilde{X}\) such that \(\widetilde{\phi}\) is equivariant with respect to the Albanese map \(\text{alb}_{\widetilde{X}}:\widetilde{X}\rightarrow A\).
