The author studies a nonlinear \(p(x)\)-Kirchhoff type problem with Dirichlet boundary condition and with convection (i.e., when a reaction term depends also on the gradient). The existence of a strong generalized solution as well as a weak solution is provided. The approach is topological based on the Galerkin method.
