Existence and uniqueness results for double phase problems with convection term (Q2293682)

This paper is concerned with the qualitative analysis of solutions for a nonlinear problem with unbalanced growth. The problem has a variational structure and its associated energy functional is a double phase variational integral. A feature of this paper is the presence of a reaction term depending on the gradient. The main result of this paper establishes the existence of a weak solution. The proof combines variational arguments with tools from the theory of pseudomonotone operators. In the final part of this paper, imposing some linear conditions on the gradient variable, the authors obtain the uniqueness of the solution.
