This paper deals with the sequence of \(q\)-Laguerre polynomials \(\{\tilde{L}^{(\delta)}_{n}(z;q) \}_{n=0}^{\infty}\) defined by the three-term recurrence relation \[ \tilde{L}^{(\delta)}_{n}(z;q) = (z-a_{n})\tilde{L}^{(\delta)}_{n-1}(z;q)-\dfrac{(1-q^{n-1})(1-q^{\delta+n-1})}{q^{2\delta+4n-5}}\tilde{L}^{(\delta)}_{n-2}(z;q)\; , n = 2,3,\ldots\,, \] where \(a_{n} = \dfrac{1-q^{n} + q(1-q^{\delta+n-1})}{q^{\delta+2n-1}}\,, \) and \(\tilde{L}^{(\delta)}_{0}(z;q)=1\,\) , \(\tilde{L}^{(\delta)}_{1}(z;q) = z- \dfrac{1-q^{\delta+1}}{q^{\delta+1}}\). According to the contribution [\textit{D. D. Tcheutia} et al., SIGMA, Symmetry Integrability Geom. Methods Appl. 14, Paper 051, 26 p. (2018; Zbl 1391.33012)], the sequence \(\{\tilde{L}^{(\delta)}_{n}(z;q) \}_{n=0}^{\infty}\) is quasi-orthogonal of order \(k\) with respect to \(\dfrac{z^{\delta+k}}{(-z;q)_{\infty}}\), for fixed \(\delta \in \mathbb{R}\) with \(\delta \in (-k-1,-k)\). Throughout the paper, we encounter several results regarding the interlacing behaviour of the zeros of \( \tilde{L}^{(\delta)}_{n}(z;q) \), \(\tilde{L}^{(\delta+1)}_{n}(z;q) \) and \(\tilde{L}^{(\delta+2)}_{n}(z;q)\) for fixed \(\delta \in (-2,-1)\) and \(0<q<1\). \newline Furthermore, the authors provide bounds for the smallest zero of \( \tilde{L}^{(\delta)}_{n}(z;q) \).
