Local Langlands correspondence for even orthogonal groups via theta lifts (Q2238220)

Let \(F\) be a non-archimedean local field of characteristic zero and \(G\) a pure inner form of an even orthogonal group over \(F\). The authors construct the local Langlands correspondence (LLC) for \(G\) via the theta correspondence and the LLC for symplectic groups (which itself relied on a simultaneous demonstration of the LLC for quasi-split special orthogonal groups). The main result is stated in Theorem 4.4, in which the existence of \(L\)-packets is asserted and their desired properties are listed. We refer to the paper for the full, technical statement. The majority of the text is devoted to proving that the \(L\)-packets have the claimed properties. The authors also show that, in the case of quasi-split even orthogonal groups, their work recovers results of Arthur and Atobe-Gan.
