In \(\mathrm{PG}(3,q)\), a \(k\)-\textit{arc} is a set \(\mathcal K\) consisting of \(k\) points no \(4\) of which are contained in a plane. A \(k\)-arc is \textit{complete} if it is not contained in a \((k+1)\)-arc. A \(k\)-arc is transitive if the group of projectivities fixing \(\mathcal K\) acts transitively on \(\mathcal K\). The group \(\mathrm{PGL}(4,q)\) has a subgroup isomorphic to \(\mathrm{PSL}(2,7)\) if and only if \(q\equiv 1\pmod{7}.\) Using such a subgroup, the author constructs an infinite family of transitive \(42\)-arcs in \(\mathrm{PG}(3,q^2)\), for \(q\geq 29\) and \(q\equiv 1\pmod{7}.\) For \(q=29\), the arc turns out to be complete.
