Existence of charged vortices in a Maxwell-Chern-Simons model (Q2249248)

The authors consider the so-called 2D Maxwell-Chern-Simons model, which reduces in the context of radially symmetric \(n\)-vortex to a system of second order nonlinear ordinary differential equations. For any \(n\), they prove the existence of a smooth solution by a refined minimization method, applied to an indefinite functional, thus showing existence of an \(n\)-vortex for the original model.
