\textit{J. D. Pincus}, \textit{J.-B. Xia} and the author [Integral Equations Oper. Theory 7, 516--535 (1984; Zbl 0592.47013)] studied the analytic model of a pure hyponormal operator \(H\) with rank one self-commutators \([H^*, H]\). In this case, the Pincus principal function \(g(\cdot)\) is a complete unitary invariant of a Hilbert space \(\mathcal{H}\). The analytic model worked well in a series of papers written by the author, if \(g(\cdot) \equiv 1\). But in some case of \(g(\cdot) < 1\), the analytic model does not apply. In this paper, the author tries to establish a function model which can deal with some cases of \(g(\cdot) < 1\). The author finds that \(g(\cdot)\) is rotational invariant if and only if \[ (H^mx, H^ny)=0\quad \text{for }\, x, y \in[H^*,H]\mathcal{H},\;m \neq n,\, m, n=0, 1, 2, \dots \] in the case that rank of \([H^*,H]\) is one. Hence the author studies the family \(\mathcal{F}\) of all pure operators \(A\) on a Hilbert space \(\mathcal{H}\) satisfying \[ (A^mx, A^ny)=0\quad \text{for }\, x, y \in[A^*,A]\mathcal{H},\;m \neq n,\, m, n=0, 1, 2, \dots, \] and a model for the class \(\mathcal{F}\) is established. A formula for the Pincus principal function of the semi-normal operators in \(\mathcal{F}\) is given. Especially, the model for the pure hyponormal operators with rank one self-commutators and with rotational invariant Pincus principal functions is studied.
