Let \(G\) be a finite group. A subgroup \(H\) of \(G\) is called weakly \(s\)-supplemented if there is a subgroup \(T\) of \(G\) with \(G=HT\) and \(H\cap T\leq H_{sG}\), where \(H_{sG}\) is the maximal \(s\)-permutable subgroup of \(G\) contained in \(H\). The study of this property has been initiated by \textit{A. N. Skiba} [J. Algebra 315, No. 1, 192-209 (2007; Zbl 1130.20019)]. In [\textit{S. Qiao} et al., Arch. Math. 98, No. 5, 403-411 (2012; Zbl 1256.20020)] sufficient conditions have been found for a finite group \(G\) to be \(p\)-nilpotent under the assumption that certain \(p\)-subgroups are complemented. Let \(P\) be a nontrivial \(p\)-Sylow subgroup of \(G\), \(1\leq D\leq P\). The author provides sufficient conditions for \(p\)-nilpotence of \(G\), namely, (1) all subgroups of \(P\) of order \(|D|\) and \(p|D|\), and, in case \(D=1\), cyclic of order 4, are weakly \(s\)-supplemented in \(G\); (2) \(p\neq 2\) is the smallest prime divisor of \(|G|\), \(D\neq 1\), \(D\neq P\), \(N_G(P)\) is \(p\)-nilpotent, all subgroups of \(P\) of order \(|D|\) are weakly supplemented in \(G\). -- These results yield also certain theorems of \textit{M. Asaad} [J. Algebra 362, 1-11 (2012; Zbl 1266.20033)].
