A metric continuum \(X\) is \(\frac{1}{n}\)-homogeneous if the homeomorphism group of \(X\) has exactly \(n\) orbits. In [Topology Appl. 153, No. 14, 2518--2527 (2006; Zbl 1106.54013)], \textit{V. Neumann-Lara}, \textit{P. Pellicer-Covarrubias} and \textit{I. Puga-Espinosa} observed that there exists a decomposable circle-like continuum \(X\) which is \(\frac{1}{2}\)-homogeneous, and asked whether there exists an indecomposable such continuum. This question was independently answered in \textit{J. P. Boroński} [ibid. 160, No. 1, 59--62 (2013; Zbl 1261.54019)] and \textit{P. Pyrih} and \textit{B. Vejnar} [ibid. 160, No. 1, 56--58 (2013; Zbl 1256.54058)]. Moreover, \textit{R. Jiménez-Hernández}, \textit{P. Minc} and \textit{P. Pellicer-Covarrubias} [ibid. 160, No. 7, 930--936 (2013; Zbl 1285.54024)] constructed a family of continua \(\{\Sigma _{n}: n\geq 3 \}\) such that each continuum \(\Sigma _{n}\) is circle-like, \(\frac{1}{n}\)-homogeneous, indecomposable and each of its proper and nondegenerate subcontinua is decomposable. In the paper under review the author constructs, for every \(n\geq 3\), two different uncountable families of arcless \(\frac{1}{n}\)-homogeneous circle-like nonplanar continua \(\Sigma _{n}\) and \(\Sigma' _{n}\). He also shows that there is an uncountable family of countably nonhomogeneous circle-like nonplanar continua. He also includes some questions, among them the following very interesting one: Suppose the metric continuum \(X\) is a hereditarily indecomposable continuum. Must the homeomorphism group of \(X\) have one or infinitely many orbits?
