Let \(\Gamma\) be a non-elementary Kleinian group acting on \(\mathbb{H}^n\) for some \(n \geq 2\). Let \(\Phi\) and \(\Theta\) be non-elementary subgroups of \(\Gamma\). In the paper under review the author studies the relationship between the intersection of the limit sets of \(\Phi\) and \(\Theta\) and the limit set of \(\Phi\cap \Theta\). In particular, he is interested in the following conjecture due to Susskind: if the above-mentioned conditions for \(\Gamma\), \(\Phi\) and \(\Theta\) are satisfied, then \(\Lambda_c(\Phi)\cap \Lambda_c(\Theta)\subseteq \Lambda(\Phi\cap \Theta)\), where \(\Lambda_c\) denotes the set of the conical limit points and \(\Lambda\) the limit set. In the paper it is proven that the conjecture holds in a particular case (Proposition 1). From this and from previously known results it is deduced that the conjecture holds most of the time. However, the statement of the conjecture cannot be significantly improved, because the author proves in Proposition 2 that, for every finitely generated purely loxodromic Fuchsian group \(\Gamma\) with \(\Lambda(\Gamma)=\mathbb{S}_{\infty}^1\), there exist non-elementary subgroups \(\Phi\) and \(\Theta\) of \(\Gamma\) such that \(\Lambda(\Phi)\cap \Lambda(\Theta)\neq \Lambda(\Phi\cap \Theta)\). Moreover, in Proposition 3, it is proven that there exists a non-elementary purely loxodromic Fuchsian group \(\Gamma\) and non-trivial subgroups \(\Phi\) and \(\Theta\) of \(\Gamma\) such that \(\Lambda(\Phi\cap\Theta) \setminus \Lambda_c(\Phi) \cap \Lambda_c(\Theta)\) is non-empty.
