This paper is concerned with intersection of limit sets of finitely generated subgroups of a Kleinian group. More precisely,NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINETheorem. Let \(\Gamma\) be a purely loxodromic Kleinian group with non-empty domain of discontinuity. If \(\Phi_1\) and \(\Phi_2\) are finitely generated subgroups of \(\Gamma\), then \(\Lambda(\Phi_1)\cap\Lambda(\Phi_2)=\Lambda(\Phi_1\cap\Phi_2)\).NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEParticular examples for \(\Gamma\) are given by Schottky groups, quasi-Fuchsian groups and degenerated groups that uniformize closed Riemann surfaces.NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEThe idea of the proof involves: (1) Klein-Maskit combination theorems to obtain a decomposition of \(\Gamma\) into a free product of a Schottky group, (extended) quasi-Fuchsian groups, degenerated groups and, more generally, Web groups; (2) the validity of the above result for these particular subgroups.
