Let \(X\) be a complex Banach space. \(X\) is said to be a \(\mathrm{JB}^\ast\)-triple if there exists a triple product \(\left\{.\,,.\,,.\right\}:X^3\rightarrow X\) which is conjugate linear in the middle variable, linear and symmetric in the other variables and satisfies {\parindent=0.6cm\begin{itemize}\item[(i)] \(\left\{a,b,\left\{x,y,z\right\}\right\}=\left\{\left\{a,b,x\right\},y,z\right\}-\left\{x,\left\{b,a,y\right\},z\right\}+\left\{x,y,\left\{a,b,z\right\}\right\}\); \item[(ii)] the map \(a\square a:x\in X\mapsto\left\{a,a,x\right\}\in X\) is Hermitian with nonnegative spectrum; \item[(iii)] \(\left\|\left\{a,a,a\right\}\right\|_X=\left\|a\right\|_X^3\); \end{itemize}} for \(a,b,x,y,z\in X\). The authors obtain growth and distortion theorems for linearly invariant families of locally biholomorphic mappings on the unit ball \( B\) of an \(n\)-dimensional \(\mathrm{JB}^\ast\)-triple \(X\) with finite norm-order. Similar properties for affine and linearly invariant families of pluriharmonic mappings of \( B\) into \(\mathbb{C}^n\) are given. Particular cases are also pointed out.
