Nörlund means with monotone coefficients are considered for Vilenkin-Fourier series. It is proved that the maximal operator of the Nörlund means is bounded from the Hardy space \(H_p\) to the weak \(L_p\) space. It is also proved that these results are best possible. As special cases more well known results for the Fejér, Riesz and Cesàro means are obtained.
