The authors [Result. Math. 47, No. 3--4, 226--241 (2005; Zbl 1088.51005)] introduced topological parallelisms of real 3-dimensional projective space \(\mathrm{PG}(3,\mathbb{R})\) and in a series of papers that followed, they presented various constructions of topological parallelisms and characterisations of Clifford parallelisms. In [Adv. Geom. 14, No. 1, 175--189 (2014; Zbl 1291.51011)], the authors investigated the collineation group of a topological parallelism. They obtained that it is a closed subgroup of the collineation group \(\mathrm{PGL}(4,\mathbb{R})\) of \(\mathrm{PG}(3,\mathbb{R})\), and thus is a Lie group. They call the dimension of the collineation group the group dimension of the topological parallelism. The maximum group dimension is 6, which only occurs in Clifford parallelisms, and group dimension 5 is not possible. In the paper under review, the authors mainly deal with regular parallelisms. These can be described by hyperflock determining line sets (introduced in [Monatsh. Math. 161, No. 1, 43--58 (2010; Zbl 1208.51009)]), that is, sets of lines in \(\mathrm{PG}(5,\mathbb{R})\) that have empty intersection with the Klein quadric \(H_5\) and such that every tangent hyperplane of \(H_5\) contains exactly one of them. It is shown how under this correspondence between hyperflock determining line sets \(\mathcal{H}\) and regular parallelisms \(\mathbf{H}\) the collineation group \(\operatorname{Aut}\mathbf H\) of \(\mathbf H\) is determined, and a procedure is described to find the dimension of \(\operatorname{Aut}\mathbf H\) in terms of the associated \(\mathcal{H}\). The authors examine the topological parallelisms they previously have obtained and determine for some of these their collineation groups. In this way they provide examples of topological regular parallelisms with parameters \((m,n)=(5,0), (4,0), (4,1), (3,1)\) where \(m\) is the dimension of \(\mathbf P\), that is, the dimension of the span in \(\mathrm{PG}(5,\mathbb{R})\) of the hyperflock determining line set associated with the regular parallelism, and \(n\) is the group dimension of \(\mathbf P\). Furthermore, the authors announce that in a forthcoming paper they provide examples with \((m,n)=(3,2)\) and show that \(m=n=3\) is not possible.
