The monograph presents six different control approaches for linear and nonlinear discrete-time systems. The first and second approaches are based on sliding mode control theory for linear with exogenous disturbances. The third and fourth approaches are based on adaptive control theory for linear and nonlinear systems with periodically varying parametric uncertainty or systems with input delay. The fifth approach is based on learning control theory for uncertain linear and nonlinear systems with repeatable tasks. The last approaches is based on fuzzy logic control for highly uncertain systems with heuristic control knowledge. The effectiveness of the approaches are demonstrated on real-word-based examples and is compared with classical control methods. The monograph contains some original results of the authors. It is dedicated to scientists and Ph.D students in the field of automatic control systems.
