The paper gives a study of mixed problems with nonlocal pseudodifferential boundary conditions for Maxwell's equations in nonhomogeneous medium. The theorem of existence and uniqueness of the strong solution is proved with the help of Kreiss' symmetrizer. This paper illustrates the theory developed by \textit{A. Majda} and \textit{S. Osher} [Commun. Pure Appl. Math. 28, 607-675 (1975; Zbl 0314.35061)].
