This research note considers applications of the unified approach for the investigation of linear thermoelasticity models described in the first part [\textit{K. Jachmann} and \textit{M. Reissig}, Int. J. Dyn. Syst. Differ. Equ. 2, No. 3--4, 170--201 (2009; Zbl 1189.80018)]. The results on well-posedness, \(L^{p}-L^{q}\) decay estimates and on diffusion phenomena are discussed for solutions to Cauchy problems of type-1, type-2, type-3 and second sound models of thermoelasticity with and without lower order terms for isotropic media. The note primarily concentrates on the problems in one space dimension, although applications to 3D problems are as well outlined.
