All spaces are assumed to be metrizable and all maps continuous. Moreover, the function spaces are equipped with the source limitation topology. Recall that a map \(g:X\to Z\) is called \textit{regularly branched} if, for each \(n\geq1\), \[ \dim \{z\in Z:|g^{-1}(z)|\geq n\}\leq n\cdot\dim X-(n-1)\cdot\dim Z. \] \textit{W. Hurewicz} proved in [Sitzungsber. Preuss. Akad. Wiss., Phys.-Math. Kl. 1933, No.~24--25, 754--768 (1933; Zbl 0008.13303 and JFM 59.1267.04)] that if \(X\) is a finite-dimensional compactum and \(p\geq1\), then the set \(\{g\in C(X,{\mathbb R}^p): g \text{ is regularly branched}\}\) contains a dense \(G_{\delta}\)-subset of the space \(C(X,{\mathbb R}^p)\). In [Topology Appl. 150, No. 1--3, 213--221 (2005; Zbl 1081.54031)], the last two authors established a parametric version of the Hurewicz theorem, that is, they proved that if \(f:X\to Y\) is a perfect map between finite-dimensional spaces and \(p\geq1\), then the set \(\{g\in C^{\ast}(X,{\mathbb R}^p):g \text{ is }f\)-regularly branched
