The two fundamental representation problems commonly encountered in fuzzy sets and lattice-valued fuzzy sets are posed as follows: {\parindent=6mm \begin{itemize}\item[(i)] specify conditions under which two fuzzy sets \(\mu: X\to L\), \(v: X\to L\) have equal family of cuts, \item[(ii)] characterize conditions under which a family of sets \({\mathcal F}\) defined in a universe \(X\) is a collection of cut sets of a given fuzzy sets \(m: X\to L\), where \(L\) is a certain lattice. \end{itemize}} The present study is concerned with the investigation of (ii) being expressed in the language of posets (poset-valued fuzzy sets). More specifically, the authors give necessary and sufficient conditions under which for a given family of sets \({\mathcal F}\) defined in a given universe \(X\) and a fixed poset there exists a fuzzy set \(\mu: X\to P\) such that the collection of cuts of this fuzzy set coincides with \({\mathcal F}\).
