The authors examine the stability of the positive mass theorem for asymptotically hyperbolic graphs. They show the following. Theorem 1.1. Let \(M^i\) be a sequence of balanced asymptotically hyperbolic graphs in hyperbolic space \(\mathbb{H}^{n+1}\) for \(n\ge3\). Assume the scalar curvature is at least \(-n(n-1)\) and the mean curvature vector points upwards. Assume almost every level set of \(M^i\) is star shaped and outer-minimizing in the hyperbolic hyperplane. Let \(m^i\) be the mass of \(M^i\). Normalize the height so that the level sets \(M^i\cap\{s=0\}\) has volume equal to \(\max\{2\beta(m^i)^{n-1}{n-2}\omega_{n-i},2\beta\omega_{n-1}m^i\}\). Here, \(\omega_n\) is the volume of the round \(n\)-dimensional sphere and \(\beta>1\) is any fixed constant. Then, if \(m^i\rightarrow0\), the sequence \(\{M^i\}\) converges to \(\{s=0\}\) in the sense of currents. The authors adapt methods of \textit{L.-H. Huang} et al. [J. Reine Angew. Math. 727, 269--299 (2017; Zbl 1368.53028)]. A differential inequality is derived for the volume of the level sets which is used to estimate the maximum height of the graph in terms of the ADM mass. Section 1 contains an introduction to the matter at hand. Section 2 deals with the mass of asymptotically hyperbolic graphs. Section 3 introduces rescaling of asymptotically hyperbolic graphs. Section 4 presents volume estimates. Section 5 reviews some basic definitions and facts concerning convergence in the flat norm and completes the proof of Theorem 1.1.
