This paper contains mainly several Hilbert-Schmidt numerical radius inequalities for operator matrices. Also, a refinement of the triangle inequality for the Hilbert-Schmidt norm is presented. Let \(B(H)\) denote the \(C^\ast\)-algebra of all bounded linear operators on a complex separable Hilbert space \(H\). For \(A\in B(H)\), let \(\omega(A)\) denote the numerical radius of \(A\). Whenever the phrase ``Hilbert-Schmidt numerical radius'' is mentioned, it means the generalized numerical radius induced by the Hilbert-Schmidt norm, which is denoted by \(\omega_2(\cdot)\). In Section 2, the authors give several Hilbert-Schmidt numerical radius inequalities, including lower and upper bounds for \(2\times 2\) operator matrices \(H\oplus H\). Special emphasis is put on the diagonal and off-diagonal parts of \(2\times 2\) operator matrices. Section 3 contains a refinement of the triangle inequality for the Hilbert-Schmidt norm. In addition, a numerical radius inequality involving self-commutators of operators is given.
