\textit{A. I. Ooms} has shown [Commun. Algebra 8, 13--52 (1980; Zbl 0421.17004)] that a Frobenius Lie algebra admits one semi-invariant and shows how to compute it in terms of the Pfaffian structure of such a Lie algebra. The authors associate a Pfaffian to each contact structure on a Lie algebra and show that it is a semi-invariant. If the algebra is perfect, they show the Pfaffian is an invariant which is a Casimir invariant and is the only invariant that the algebra admits.
