A noncommutative simplicial complex \(\Sigma\) spanned by \(n\) vertices is (roughly) an algebra of polynomials \({\mathbb C}\langle x_1,\dots,x_n\rangle\) in non-commuting variables \(x_i\) satisfying the relation \(x_1+\dots+x_n=1\); factoring out this algebra by a two-sided ideal generated by the commutation relations \(x_ix_j=x_jx_i\) yields the algebra of smooth complex valued functions on a geometric realization of \(\Sigma\). In this setting the author of the reviewed paper proves the following two theorems: (1) an approximation theorem which says that, if \(A=\lim A_i\) and \(B=\lim B_i\) are two approximations by the noncommutative simplicial complexes \(A_i\) and \(B_i\) such that \(h_i:A_i\to B_i\) is a homomorphism, then there exists a homomorphism \(h: A\to B\) and (2) a long wxact homotopy sequence theorem for a pair of noncommutative complexes \(A,B\) and a homomorphism \(h: A\to B\).
