In this present paper, the authors study further the statistical model introduced by \textit{D. V. Talalaev} [SIGMA, Symmetry Integrability Geom. Methods Appl. 13, Paper 031, 14 p. (2017; Zbl 1368.81101)]. The authors deal with the statistical models related to Zamolodchikov's tetrahedron equation. Also, they investigate a special statistical model on graphs with vertices of degrees 6 and 1. Then, the authors elaborate the graphs that appear in the theory of two-dimensional knots (2-knots for short). They determine the model by means of a 2-knot diagram, a solution of the set-theoretic tetrahedron equation, and a 3-cocycle of the corresponding tetrahedral complex. The authors show that this model is invariant with respect to a family of graph transformations of special type, this family includes all odd Roseman moves as well as Roseman move 6 under an additional condition on the cocycle. Lastly, the authors present few observations and remarks concerning possible generalizations and further developments of the theory presented in the paper.
