This paper provides tools for computing the Hochschild cohomology. Let us recall that the Hochschild cohomology has been introduced in 1945 and is related to the theory of infinitesimal deformations and to the deformation theory. In this work, the authors consider associative algebras, not necessarily finite dimensional. They introduce cohomological functors and cohomology along paths. They compute the Hochschild cohomology under suitable Tor vanishing hypotheses. They describe the connecting homomorphism of the long exact sequences. They also obtain some families of bound quiver algebras which are of infinite global dimension.
