      A \textit{flag Bott manifold} is defined as follows. Let \(m\) be a positive integer and let \(\mathbf{n}=(n_1,\dots, n_m)\) be a sequence of positive integers. A \textit{flag Bott tower} \(F_\bullet (\mathbf{n}) = \{ F_j (\mathbf{n}) | 0 \leq j \leq n\}\) of height \(m\) is a sequence of manifolds, \[ F_m (\mathbf{n}) \xrightarrow{p_m} F_{m-1}(\mathbf{n}) \xrightarrow{p_{m-1}} \cdots \xrightarrow{p_2} F_1(\mathbf{n}) \xrightarrow{p_1} F_0(\mathbf{n}) =\{pt\} \] where \(F_j(\mathbf{n}) = \bigoplus_{k=1}^{n_j+1} \xi^{(j)}_k\) is a holomorphic line bundle over \(F_{j-1}(\mathbf{n})\) for all \(1\leq k \leq n_j+1\) and \(1\leq j \leq m\). Then \(F_j (\mathbf{n})\) is called the \textit{\(j\)-stage flag Bott manifold} of the flag Bott tower. These manifolds were recently introduced in [\textit{S. Kuroki} et al., Pac. J. Math. 308, No. 2, 347--392 (2020; Zbl 1468.14087)] as a generalization of both full flag manifolds and Bott manifolds. In the present article, the authors investigate the generic torus orbit closures in flag Bott manifolds. Let \(X\) be such an obit closure in \(F_m (\mathbf{n})\). The main results of the article can be summarized as follows: \begin{itemize} \item[1.] The realization of \(X\) as the total space of an \(m\)-sequence of iterated fiber bundles with permutohedral varieties as its fibers (Section 3). \item[2.] An explicit determination of the fan of \(X\) (Theorem 3.2). \item[3.] All generic torus orbit closures in \(F_m (\mathbf{n})\) are isomorphic to \(X\). Furthermore, \(X\) is a non-singular toric variety (Proposition 3.5). \end{itemize}
