The present article deals with infinite \(p\)-adic expansions of numbers from \([0,1]\), the shift operator, and moving average values of the digit sums (moving digit means). The main attention is given to the Hausdorff dimension of certain sets (the Moran sets) defined by the last-mentioned terms. Let \(p>1\) be a positive integer, \(A=\{0,1, \dots , p-1\}\), and \[ [0,1]\ni x=\sum^{\infty} _{n=1}{\frac{x_n}{p^n}}=0.x_1x_2 \ldots x_n \ldots, \] where \(x_n\in A\) for all positive integers \(n\). This paper focused on dimensional properties of sets of the form \[ B(\alpha, \beta)=\{x\in [0,1]: \underline{B}(x)=\alpha, \overline{B}(x)=\beta\}, \] where \(0\le\alpha\le\beta\le p-1\) and \[ \underline{B}(x)=\lim_{n\to\infty}{\varliminf_{m\to\infty}{\frac{S_n(T^m x)}{n}}}, ~~~\overline{B}(x)=\lim_{n\to\infty}{\varlimsup_{m\to\infty}{\frac{S_n(T^m x)}{n}}}. \] Here \(S_n(x)=\sum^{n} _{i=1}{x_i}\) and \(T^m x=0.x_{m+1}x_{m+2}x_{m+3}\ldots\). The \(p\)-adic entropy function \(h(\alpha)\) is defined and its some properties are studied. Relations between the \(p\)-adic entropy function and the sets \(B(\alpha, \beta)\) and \(B(\alpha)=\{x: \overline{B}(x)=\underline{B}(x)=\alpha\}\) (here \(0\le\alpha\le p-1\)) are established. The case when \(p=2\) is noted by the author. The \(p\)-adic lower and upper entropy functions are defined and investigated. Their relations to the \(p\)-adic entropy function are considered. The Hausdorff dimension of generalizations of sets investigated by \textit{A. Besicovitch} in [Math. Ann. 110, 321--330 (1934; Zbl 0009.39503)], is investigated. Certain Moran sets in which the sequence of partial digit sums are bounded or take special values, are defined and their Hausdorff dimensions are investigated. Auxiliary statements are proved. In addition, the author notes classical researches devoted to the dimensional theory associated with digit mean of numbers.
