Let \(\mathrm{PSL}(2, \mathbb{Z})\) be the classical modular group, which consists of those mappings of the form \[ T(z)=\frac{az+b}{cz+d};ad-bc=1,a,b,c,d\in\mathbb{Z}, \] and \(\Gamma _{0}(N)\) be the congruence subgroup of \(\mathrm{PSL}(2, \mathbb{Z})\) such that \(c\equiv 0 \pmod n\). In the paper under review, the authors deal with the relationship between the normalizer \(\Gamma _{B}(N)\) of \(\Gamma _{0}(N)\) in \(\mathrm{PSL}(2, \mathbb{R})\) and the regular maps for the values \(N=2^{\alpha }3^{\beta }\) where \(\alpha =0,2,4,6\) and \(\beta =0,2.\) It is shown that the regular \(3\)-valent maps correspond to normal subgroups of \(\Gamma _{B}(N)\) for these special values of \(\alpha \) and \(\beta \). Then, only regular \(3\)-valent maps corresponding to normal subgroups of \(\Gamma _{B}(N)\) are investigated.
