It is well known that the Lunelli-Sce hyperoval is the only non-classical hyperoval in \(\mathrm{PG}(2,16)\). This hyperoval is contained in the families of Subiaco hyperovals and Adelaide hyperovals. In the author's previous work [Finite Fields Appl. 47, 94--124 (2017; Zbl 1401.51005); Eur. J. Comb. 79, 123--139 (2019; Zbl 1419.51008)], he found a description of the Lunelli-Sce hyperoval from which it is clear that the Lunelli-Sce hyperoval belongs to these families. The automorphism group of the Lunelli-Sce hyperoval was known before but in this short note, the automorphism group is deduced using this new description.
