The authors present two examples in the framework of topological dynamics, in order to answer some open questions appearing in the literature. The first example shows us two continuous maps \(f:X\rightarrow X\), \(g:Y\rightarrow Y\), where \(X, Y\) are certain complete metric subspaces of \(\mathbb{R}\), so \(X\times Y\) is a complete metric subspace of \(\mathbb{R}^2\), such that: \((X, f)\) and \((Y, g)\) are not syndetically sensitive; \((X \times Y, f \times g)\) is cofinitely sensitive; \((X, f)\) is thickly sensitive. The example, jointly with Theorem \(3.6\) and Proposition \(3.7\) in [\textit{R. Thakur} and \textit{R. Das}, Semigroup Forum 98, 631--644 (2019; Zbl 1442.37023)], solves Question \(9.2\) from \textit{A. Miller} and \textit{C. Money} [Turk. J. Math. 41, 1323--1336 (2017; Zbl 1424.37004)], namely: ``Let \((G, X)\) and \((G, Y)\) be two semiflows defined on two metric spaces \(X\) and \(Y\), if \((G, X \times Y )\) is syndetically sensitive (resp., cofinitely sensitive, multi-sensitive), is one of the factors syndetically sensitive (resp., cofinitely sensitive, multi-sensitive)?''. Moreover, the same first example allows the authors to answer negatively to Question \(3\) appearing in [\textit{A. Miller}, Appl. Gen. Topol. 19, 281--289 (2018; Zbl 1403.54023)], about whether thick sensitivity implies or not syndetic sensitivity. On the other hand, the second example describes a semiflow \((Z, f)\) defined on a complete metric space \(Z\subset \mathbb{R}\) which is syndetically sensitive but \((Z,f^2)\) is not sensitive. This answers in the negative Question \(3\) in [\textit{C. Money}, Chaos in semiflows. Louisville, KY: University of Louisville (PhD Thesis) (2015)], about the existence or not of a sensitive semiflow \((G, X)\) and a syndetic closed submonoid \(G_1\) of \(G\) such that \((G_1, X)\) is sensitive.
